  • International School

    The school collaborates with JNU's best academic departments and colleges to design internationally compatible programs and curriculum. Offers multidisciplinary, internationalized degree programs taught exclusively in English.

  • College of Liberal Arts

    Includes department-level teaching units of Chinese Language & Literature, History, Chinese Cultural History Research Institute and Sino-Foreign Relation Institute. Sets undergraduate, graduate and doctoral majors as well as 3 post-doctoral scientific research stations.

  • College of Foreign Studies

    Consists of 5 departments: English Language & Literature, Business English Studies, Japanese Language & Literature, French Language & Literature, and English Language Teaching, and 5 scientific research institutions. Offers undergraduate and graduate programs.

  • College of Arts

    Includes departments of Chinese Fine Arts, Animation, Music, Film and TV and Arts in General Education as well as a research institute, with 2 academic fields in the Master’s Degree Program of Fine Arts.

  • College of Journalism and Communication

    Includes departments of Journalism, Advertising and Radio & Television. Offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs.

  • College of Economics

    Established in 1980 as one of the earliest economics colleges in China, provides a complete range of academic disciplines from undergraduate to Phd level programs.

  • Management School

    Consists of four departments: Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, and Tourism Management and ten research centers. In 2011, the University has become the 5th university in mainland China to be accredited by AMBA and achieved re-accreditation by AMBA in 2013.

  • School of Public Administration/School of Emergency Management

    China's first public administration school featuring emergency management, featuring emergency management, an integration of public management and emergency management. It is an important training base for emergency management in South China.

  • Law School / Intellectual Property School

    Provides two bachelor's degree programs including Legal Study and Intellectual Property, two types of master's degree, LL.M. and J.M., and Ph.D. degree program in International Law and International Relations, Intellectual Property.

  • School of International Studies/Academy of Overseas Chinese Studies

    Established in 2011, integrating international relations, overseas Chinese studies and related research area, the school is the largest research institution on Southeast Asian and overseas Chinese studies, most distinguished in Chinese modern history.

  • College of Science and Engineering

    Includes 6 departments: Physics, Mechanics and Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Food Science and Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Optoelectronic Engineering.

  • College of Information Science and Technology / College of Cyber Security

    Includes departments of Mathematics, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, and Electronic Computer Center. Offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs.

  • College of Life Science and Technology

    Includes departments of Biological Engineering, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Ecology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Cell biology, Immunology, Developmental and Regenerative Biology, and Research Center for Harmful Algae and Marine Biology.

  • School of Medicine

    Offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. Has multiple clinical specialties, world-advanced research bases and experiment platforms.

  • First Clinical Medical School

    Sets 52 clinical departments and a post-doctoral scientific research station of Clinical Medicine. Offers, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs.

  • College of Pharmacy

    Offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. Sets 3 teaching institutes, 10 research institutions and 1 post-doctoral scientific research station of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

  • College of Chinese Language and Culture

    Provides Department of Teaching Chinese as a Second/Foreign Language, Department of Applied Linguistics, Department of Overseas Chinese Education, Overseas Chinese Research Center, Overseas Chinese Education Research Institute, Institute of Applied Linguistics, Department of Pre-University Program, Correspondence Education Department, Network and Educational Technology Center.

  • School of Humanities

    Offers 6 majors, such as Chinese Language & Literature (senior secretarial direction, editing and publishing direction). Ranks among the best in aspects of employment, passing rates of postgraduate examination and judicial examination.

  • School of Translation Studies

    Bachelor's degree programs like Bachelor of Translation and Interpreting (BTI) and master's degree programs as Master of Art in Translation (MA) & Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI). Provides, including 4 professors，10 associate professors，16 lecturers, 4 foreign teachers, 5 administrative staffs.

  • International Business School

    Sets up 3 teaching departments, 3 research institutions and 3 centers. Totally including 6 bachelor's degree programs, providing master's degree and doctoral programs as well as post-doctoral programs.

  • College of Electrical and Information Engineering

    It is founded in 2010, including 23 laboratories for teaching, learning and scientific research and 4 extracurricular practice teaching bases.

  • Shenzhen Tourism College

    Includes 4 departments and 3 research centers. Offers such key undergraduate majors as Business English. Cultivates masters and doctors of majors like Tourism Management.

  • Education College

    Undertakes adult higher education, and is responsible for the university's management and teaching of adult education, sets up over 50 majors, cultivating more than 33,000 adult students with Junior College graduate diploma and undergraduate diploma.

  • School of Physical Education

    Forms a professional pattern centering on competitive sports events and featuring around traditional national sports events. Offers undergraduate programs in Physical Education.

  • School of Environment

    Owns Department of Environmental Science, Department of Environmental Engineering and Institute of Environmental Engineering and thirteen laboratories for environmental science research，six laboratories for environmental engineering research, two laboratories for water & wastewater engineering, three innovation laboratories, and four laboratories for instruments and environmental analysis.

  • Jinan University - University of Birmingham Joint Institute at Jinan University
