A delegation from Jinan University, led by Professor Lu Wengang, Dean of the University’s Bay Area International Institute of Intelligent Emergency and Safety Development, recently visited Guangdong Fenghua Advanced Tech Co., Ltd. (Fenghua High-Tech) for a field survey and jointly inaugurated the “Jinan University–Fenghua High-Tech Industry-Academia-Education Integration Practice Base”. The initiative aims to deepen collaboration between the university and the enterprise in talent development, corporate culture, and safety production.

New Phase of Collaboration Marked by Base Inauguration

Representatives from both sides attended the unveiling ceremony at Fenghua High-Tech’s premises. Participants included Dean Lu Wengang and student representatives from Jinan University, alongside Wang Yimin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Labor Union of Fenghua High-Tech, along with leaders from departments including Party-Mass Work, Human Resources, Safety and Environmental Protection, and Operations Management. The establishment of the base signifies a strengthened partnership in industry-academia collaboration, talent cultivation, and corporate Party building, promoting technological advancement and talent development through shared resources.

In-Depth Exchange on FAITH Business Philosophy

During the seminar, both sides discussed Fenghua High-Tech’s FAITY business philosophy. Deputy Secretary Wang Yimin explained that the concept, developed by its parent company Guangsheng Holdings Group, emphasizes “Focus on core business, Action over words, Independent innovation, Technology-driven success, and Human-centric approach” as key pillars of corporate culture. Department heads shared implementation experiences:

The Party-Mass Work Office reported deepened Party-building integration, reinforcing the role of Party organizations;

The Safety and Environmental Protection Department highlighted strengthened management systems and safety training;

The Operations Management Center cited optimized workflows and quality control, contributing to notable revenue and profit growth in 2024.

Dean Lu Wengang suggested further refining the FAITH framework with theoretical insights to enhance its role in guiding corporate development.

Site Visit Highlights Safety and Innovation

The delegation toured Fenghua High-Tech's exhibition hall and Plant 102, learning about the company's development history, achievements in Party building, product innovation, and safety culture. Automated production lines and comprehensive safety signage demonstrated the company's commitment to operational safety and efficiency. The team also met with Fenghua’s emergency rescue team, reviewing equipment readiness and joint drills conducted with local partners to enhance emergency response.

Conclusion and Future Steps

The visit provided comprehensive insights into Fenghua High-Tech’s practices in Party building, corporate culture, and safety management. Dean Lu Wengang indicated that the findings will be compiled into a case study for industry reference. Moving forward, both sides will continue to deepen integration across science, industry, and education to support high-quality enterprise development and talent training.
