On May 29, the College of Information Science and Technology at Jinan University successfully held the 2025 IT Career and Internship Fair at the Panyu Campus. The event aimed to build an efficient university-enterprise exchange platform, helping students secure tailored employment and internship opportunities while addressing industry demands for skilled professionals, ultimately promoting high-quality graduate employment.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Zhang Yanli, Deputy Party Secretary of the College of Information Science and Technology. Attendees included Pan Qiliang, Executive Director of the Panyu Campus Management Committee; Li Yang, Director of the University's Student Employment Guidance Center; Li Zhetao, Dean of the School; and Luo Guowei, Party Secretary of the Campus.
The fair brought together leading enterprises such as China TravelSky, Whale Cloud, SIE Consulting, Anquan Digital Intelligence, Seasun, EHang, Guangzhou Telecom, CVTE, Guangzhou Unicom, Xinhuo Culture, Swire Trade, Wanxiao Interconnect, and NetEase Games. Positions spanned software R&D, hardware engineering, functional roles, large-scale model algorithms, news media, trade, and business, attracting active participation from a large number of students across the College of Information Science and Technology and related departments.
Li Yang, Director of the Student Employment Guidance Center, highlighted the vital role of internship experience, particularly in information technology, in graduates' career development. He encouraged students to seize opportunities presented by emerging technologies like AI and big data to enhance their competitiveness. He also expressed hope that the school would further deepen cooperation with enterprises, advance industry-academia integration, and expand internship and practical training platforms for students.
Dean Li Zhetao emphasized that, amid global digital transformation, the school has always placed student employment at the core of talent cultivation. By strengthening university-enterprise collaboration and optimizing curricula, the school continuously enhances students' employability. He offered three suggestions to students: proactively seize opportunities to showcase expertise; rationally evaluate personal strengths and interests when choosing a platform; and commit to lifelong learning to keep pace with technological advances. He also called on enterprises to provide more guidance and opportunities, fostering deeper collaboration to cultivate high-quality, innovative IT talent.
Participating enterprises spoke highly of the students' overall capabilities. Representatives noted that students demonstrated solid foundational knowledge, strong practical skills, rapid learning ability, and well-developed innovative and problem-solving skills, making them ideal candidates for companies seeking exceptional talent.
Students reported gaining substantial insights from the event. One job-seeking student shared, The fair featured high-quality employers across diverse sectors, giving me a clearer understanding of industry needs and my own career direction.
