On March 7th, the Zhuhai Campus organized a delightful celebration for International Women's Day, inviting nearly 60 female faculty members from the campus and affiliated units to enjoy a spring outing in Xinhui District, Jiangmen City. The event was led by Lu Jianmin, Secretary of the Campus Party Committee and Chairman of the Labor Union, along with other campus officials who extended holiday greetings to the participants.

(Visiting the Liang Qichao Former Residence Memorial Hall)

The outing commenced at the Liang Qichao Former Residence Memorial Hall, a cultural landmark in Xinhui District. Here, female educators explored the rich history of Mr. Liang Qichao, gaining insights into his life and his contributions to modern thought through valuable cultural relics and historical exhibits. This experience deepened their appreciation for the spirit of patriotism embodied by one of China's prominent intellectual figures.

(Visitng the Bird's Paradise National Wetland Park)

The next destination was the Bird's Paradise National Wetland Park, known as the inspiration for Ba Jin's classic work Bird's Paradise. Amid the gentle spring rain, the group enjoyed a serene boat ride, surrounded by lush green islands and the beauty of nature, with herons gracefully taking flight. This stop underscored the theme of harmonious coexistence between humanity and the natural world.

(Visiting the Gesanghua Sea Base,)

The day's final highlight was a visit to the Gesanghua Sea Base, where springtime blooms of Gesang flowers filled the landscape with vibrant colors. The joyful atmosphere provided an ideal backdrop for faculty members to stroll along flower-lined paths, capturing moments in photographs while sharing their experiences in both work and life.

Lu Jianmin expressed his sentiments about the event, remarking, Female faculty are a vital force in our campus development. I hope this outing allows everyone to pause from their busy schedules, recharge, and return to the education sector with renewed enthusiasm. 

To further support female faculty and staff, the Zhuhai Campus Labor Union plans to use this festival as a springboard for diverse activities across various colleges. The goal is to foster a warm, united campus culture that enhances the sense of belonging and happiness among faculty and staff members.
