In a proactive effort to enhance campus safety and ensure the stability of the Panyu campus, Gu Naihua, a member of the Standing Committee of the School Party Committee and Vice President, led a special inspection team on the morning of March 6th.
The inspection focused on critical areas, including the 24-hour alarm center, laboratories, cafeteria, student dormitories, and the express delivery center. The team evaluated the maintenance and functionality of campus monitoring systems, fire safety measures, laboratory safety protocols, and the operational standards of the express delivery center. They engaged with leaders from relevant departments, reviewed safety logs, and assessed the implementation of existing safety management systems.

During the inspection, several potential safety hazards were identified. Vice President Gu emphasized the need for relevant units to take ownership of their responsibilities, implement effective safety measures, and promptly address any issues uncovered during the inspection.
Following the inspection, Vice President Gu outlined key safety initiatives for the new semester. He called on all functional departments to heighten their awareness of safety responsibilities and to create a robust safety framework characterized by a foolproof mentality. He also stressed the importance of identifying risk points and enhancing the integrated security approach, which combines human, technical, and physical defenses. Furthermore, he urged for a strengthened responsibility chain to ensure comprehensive management of safety hazards, thereby reinforcing campus safety and stability.
The inspection was attended by several key figures, including Pan Qiliang, Executive Director of the Panyu Campus Management Committee; Liu Jinshun, Secretary of the Panyu Campus Party Committee; and other leaders from various departments, including the Laboratory and Equipment Management Department and the Student Affairs Department. Their collective efforts underscore the commitment to maintaining a safe and secure campus environment for all students and staff.
