On December 24, 2024, the College of Foreign Studies at Jinan University officially inaugurated its Graduate Internship Base and Off-Campus Practical Teaching Base for College Students at Jishi Senior High School (Jishi High School) in Chaozhou City. This event marks the beginning of a significant educational partnership between the two institutions.

The ceremony was led by Zhu Hongqiang, Vice Dean of the College of Foreign Studies, and Zhang Zhanping, Chairman of Guangdong Jishi Education Group, alongside administrative staff, first-year teachers, and students from Jishi High School.  

In his address, Cheng Yechao, Principal of Jishi High School, emphasized that the establishment of the Graduate Internship Base will invigorate the school's educational environment, allowing both teachers and students to engage with the advanced academic atmosphere of the university. He assured that Jishi High School would provide robust support for Jinan University students during their internships.  

Zhang Zhanping highlighted the partnership as a vital enhancement to the quality of education at Jishi, stating that the new practical internship base allows intern teachers from Jinan University to effectively integrate theory with practice. He noted that this collaboration represents a significant step forward in the educational alliance between the two institutions.  

Zhu Hongqiang remarked that Jishi High School is the first internship base for the College of Foreign Studies in eastern Guangdong. He expressed optimism for future collaborations that would strengthen and expand the internship program.  

During the ceremony, representatives from both institutions signed a cooperation agreement, followed by a joint unveiling of the plaques for the new bases.  

Following the unveiling, experts from the College of Foreign Studies and leaders from Jishi Education Group engaged in detailed discussions regarding future cooperation projects, focusing on the importance of advanced professional development for primary and secondary school teachers, as well as diverse pathways for student growth.
