As we reflect on the journey of Macau over the past 25 years since its return to the motherland, we celebrate the profound connections between Jinan University and this vibrant region. A Journey Through Time
From the midnight of December 20, 1999, when Macau returned to China, to today, we have witnessed a flourishing of culture, education, and community. The return was celebrated with joy and unity, symbolized by the raising of the national flag and the heartfelt melodies of the Song of the Seven Sons. It was a moment of pride for all Chinese, especially for those connected to Jinan University, which has played a pivotal role in nurturing talent for Macau.
Over the past 25 years, Jinan University has welcomed over 2,700 students from Macau, providing them with a rich educational experience and a platform to pursue their dreams. JNU has become a fertile ground for Macanese students, fostering their personal and professional growth.

Contributions to Macau's Development
The alumni of Jinan University have significantly contributed to various sectors in Macau, including media, finance, healthcare, education, and tourism. With over 30,000 alumni residing in Macau, they represent a vital part of the community, with one in every six families having a connection to JNU. Notably, many of JNU graduates have taken on leadership roles, including three former Chief Executives of the Macau Special Administrative Region.
JNU alumni's achievements reflect the spirit of dedication and excellence instilled in them during their time at Jinan University. They have returned to Macau with dreams and aspirations, actively participating in the region's development and prosperity.
