On December 7th, 2024, the Hong Kong and Macau Division of the 13th Win in Guangzhou and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area College Student Entrepreneurship Competition took place at the Academic Lecture Hall of Jinan University Zhuhai Campus. This event was hosted by the Guangzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, organized by the Guangzhou Municipal Labor Employment Service Management Center, and co-organized by the Zhuhai Campus.

Since its inception in 2019, the Win in Guangzhou entrepreneurship competition has included a dedicated Hong Kong and Macau division. Over the past five years, it has seen participation from more than 240 projects, with 28 winning entries. This year, the competition attracted 58 outstanding projects from 14 prestigious universities, including Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the University of Macau, and Jinan University. The event fostered a dynamic environment for innovation and creativity, culminating in the selection of five exceptional teams that advanced to the finals.

Among these talented participants, the student team from Zhuhai Campus—comprising Guo Yiwen, Qiu Ruojie, Zhang Zhenxing, and Liang Guanrong—distinguished themselves with their project titled Cloud Domain Thunder View - Domestic Self-Developed Millimeter Wave Radar Empowers Multi-Scene Inspection, supervised by Niu Weilong. Their project addresses current needs in highway safety and maintenance, featuring a product called Patrol Safety Star. This innovative solution integrates infrared sensors, visual cameras, and self-developed environmental scanning millimeter wave radar, effectively overcoming challenges in multi-source heterogeneous fusion technology to achieve high-precision, all-weather real-time detection of road surfaces.

The Win in Guangzhou Entrepreneurship Competition is a highly influential event in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, providing a platform for college students to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations. It also facilitates the integration and gathering of entrepreneurial resources in the region, playing a crucial role in fostering a diverse and innovative entrepreneurial exchange platform.
