During the launch ceremony, Ren Tiejian, Deputy Minister of the Guangdong Liaison Department of the Liaison Office of the Central Government in Macao, highlighted the fair's goal of leveraging resources from Guangdong and Macao, particularly in the Hengqin Guangdong-Macau Deep Cooperation Zone. He emphasized creating an efficient and practical employment service platform for Macao's youth, especially for the over 8,000 mainland university students from Macao, with the intent to help them integrate into the Greater Bay Area's overall development for mutual benefits in personal and career aspirations.
Sun Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Jinan University, remarked that the university has been a significant source of talent for Macao, underlining its role in supporting the One Country, Two Systems initiative. He noted that the job fair serves as a bridge connecting young students from Macao, including those from Jinan University, to the opportunities presented by the Greater Bay Area.
The job fair features a hybrid format, combining both online and offline elements. Participating employers comprise leading industries in the Greater Bay Area, including state-owned enterprises, local emerging businesses, and key research institutions. The event includes specialized zones for live streaming guidance, promotion of employment policies, career counseling, interactive activities, and tastings of Macao's specialty foods, attracting many Macao university students from the Greater Bay Area and neighboring provinces.
