On the afternoon of November 25, 2024, the Zhuhai Campus organized a lecture titled National Natural Science Foundation Enhancement Plan: Application for National Natural Science Projects and Sharing of Research Experience.” The session featured Professor Yang Bo from the College of Computer Science at Shaanxi Normal University, who offered valuable guidance and insights to faculty members applying for National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC) projects this year. The event was attended by Pei Tingrui, Deputy Director of the Campus Management Committee, and Li Qin, Director of the Research Management and Social Service Office, along with over 20 teachers and students.

Pei Tingrui opened the meeting with a warm welcome to Professor Yang and highlighted the expert's extensive experience in the NSFC application process. Professor Yang provided an in-depth analysis of the essential components of writing a successful NSFC project application letter. He covered critical topics such as:
- Topic Selection: Strategies for choosing relevant and impactful research topics.
- Abstract Writing: Tips for crafting concise and engaging abstracts.
- Keyword Selection: The importance of selecting appropriate keywords for visibility and relevance.
- Research Planning: Outlining research content effectively.
- Technical Route Design: Planning the methodological approach to ensure the project's feasibility.
Throughout the lecture, Yang emphasized the connections between each section of the application, illustrating his points with successful case studies and personal experiences from his own NSFC and National Key R&D Program applications.
The event also fostered a collaborative atmosphere, allowing for interactive discussions. Attendees engaged in deep exchanges with Professor Yang, sharing their own research ideas and receiving tailored feedback on their project topics and abstracts.
This guidance meeting served not only as an educational opportunity but also as a platform for collaboration and networking among faculty and students engaged in scientific research.
