At the recent HUPO2024 World Congress on Human Proteomics, Professor Zhang Gong from the School of Life Sciences and Technology at our university has been elected as the President of the International Human Proteome Program (C-HPP). This prestigious appointment recognizes his outstanding academic achievements and esteemed reputation in the field and marks a significant milestone for our university and its research initiatives.
The International Human Proteome Project is a leading endeavor in the life sciences, critical for uncovering the complexities of life and advancing medical knowledge. Professor Zhang's election as president underscores his prominent role in international proteomics research and serves as a testament to his dedication and the strong research capabilities of our institute.
Additionally, during the conference, the official HPP Portal—a comprehensive database of the International Human Proteome Project—was unveiled. This portal, developed under Professor Zhang's guidance, serves as a vital resource for researchers worldwide, offering extensive data and insights crucial for both basic and applied research.
