From October 24-25, an educational assistance team from JNU, supported by the United Front Work Department and the Education Bureau of Hezhang County Committee in Bijie City, Guizhou Province, conducted a series of educational assistance and exchange activities. The team comprised 11 teachers from the School Rural Revitalization Work Leading Group Office, Basic Education Office, Affiliated School, and Kindergarten, and visited Siyuan Experimental School, Sixth Primary School, and Fourth Kindergarten in Hezhang County.

On the morning of October 24, the team held a discussion at Siyuan Experimental School with local education leaders. Wu Kaifu, Deputy Director of the Education Bureau of Hezhang County, welcomed the team and expressed gratitude for Jinan University's commitment to education in the area. He outlined the development of basic education in Hezhang County and expressed hope for continued support from the university to address educational gaps and improve assistance outcomes. Zhong Chunsheng from the Rural Revitalization Office, Yang Xiaoyu from the Basic Education Office, and Xiao Yun, Principal of Siyuan Experimental School, shared their insights and expectations for the assistance activities, emphasizing the importance of strategic planning to enhance educational quality.

Following the meeting, the assistance team visited Hezhang County Fourth Kindergarten, Sixth Primary School, and Siyuan Experimental School, engaging in special lectures, open class activities, and exchange meetings. Topics included innovative teaching methods, moral and mental health education, kindergarten operations, and teaching and research management strategies.

The team also toured the Concentric Home project exhibition halls in Jinyinshan Community and attended the 35th Anniversary Exhibition of United Front Participation in the Construction of Bijie Experimental Zone at the Concentric Exhibition Hall in Bijie City.

This initiative reflects JNU's commitment to responding to the Central United Front Work Department's call to enhance educational cooperation between eastern and western regions of China. Moving forward, our basic education assistance team aims to strengthen collaborations with Hezhang County, exploring avenues for the high-quality development of basic education.
