The Zhuhai Science and Technology Innovation Bureau recently announced the recognition of key laboratories and new research and development institutions for 2024, and proud to report that the Zhuhai campus has successfully established two key laboratories:

1. Zhuhai Key Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence Cross Fusion

   - Lead: Professor Yang Guanghua

   - This laboratory aims to create an innovative platform that integrates artificial intelligence (AI) technology with interdisciplinary research. It leverages the talent and interdisciplinary strengths of Jinan University to promote the application and development of AI across various fields.

2. Zhuhai Key Laboratory of New Energy and Power System Innovation

   - Lead: Professor He Jinghan

   - This laboratory focuses on advancing research in energy technology, specifically targeting two main areas: the efficient conversion of new energy and the development of key equipment for new power systems and network construction. The goal is to innovate key technologies that are theoretically sound, technically feasible, industrially scalable, and economically viable, addressing critical issues such as safety, cost-effectiveness, and environmental sustainability in energy utilization.

In total, 68 laboratories were recognized in Zhuhai this year, including 51 in the enterprise category and 17 in the discipline category. The establishment of these laboratories underscores JNU’s commitment to advancing research and development in cutting-edge technologies and contributing to the broader scientific community.
