On November 5, 2024, Chao Guiming, member of the Standing Committee of the Zhuhai Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor, led a delegation to the Shipai Campus of Jinan University for a research and exchange visit. They were accompanied by key university officials, including Lin Rupeng, Secretary of the School Party Committee, and Xing Feng, President of Jinan University.

 Key Activities and Discussions:

- Campus Tour: The delegation toured the History Museum and the Exhibition of Educational Achievements of Jinan University. Lin Rupeng provided an in-depth overview of the university's century-long history, highlighting its resilience through three major setbacks and five relocations, reflecting the broader historical context of the nation.

- Recent Achievements and Future Plans: Lin discussed the university’s recent achievements and development plans, emphasizing efforts to enhance various aspects of campus life and education. Xing Feng reiterated the university's commitment to General Secretary Xi Jinping's directives, focusing on advancing the Double First Class initiative and enhancing the university's reputation as a leading overseas Chinese institution.

- Chao Guiming’s Remarks: Chao praised Jinan University for its rich cultural heritage and distinctive strengths. He encouraged the university to leverage its advantages in overseas Chinese education as it embarks on a new journey, aiming to enhance its overall capabilities and contribute significantly to united front work, economic and social development in Guangdong, and the establishment of an educational powerhouse.

 Participation:

The exchange included participation from notable officials such as Xi Enmin, Director of the Education Bureau of Zhuhai City, and other representatives from the Zhuhai Municipal Government Office, alongside Jinan University officials, including Mai Shangwen from the Party and Government Office, Ma Min, Executive Dean of the Graduate School, and Zhang Junling, Deputy Director of the Higher Education Research and Evaluation Center.
