Founded in 1998, Guangdong Yuewei Edible Fungus Technology Co., Ltd. has dedicated itself to researching the efficacy of edible and medicinal fungi, extracting active ingredients, developing new functional products, selecting superior strains, and promoting modern cultivation techniques.
The tour commenced with a visit to the company’s exhibition area, where a stunning array of mushroom products sparked curiosity among the teachers. The participants listened attentively to the tour guide's explanations, engaging actively by asking questions that were met with thoughtful responses.
The first stop was the Ganoderma lucidum exhibition room. Here, the guide provided an in-depth introduction, highlighting the various properties and differences between wild Ganoderma lucidum and its cultivated counterpart. Additionally, the guide explained the advanced processes involved in extracting Ganoderma spore powder and oil, enhancing the teachers' understanding of this important medicinal mushroom.
Next, the group moved to the mushroom cultivation room. The enchanting aroma of various mushrooms filled the air, with jade fungus appearing as a piece of art, while Tremella fuciformis shone like freshly fallen snow. Other mushrooms, such as the vibrant Yuhuang and delicate Taohong mushrooms, created a lively atmosphere. The tour guide elaborated on the growth habits, nutritional values, cooking techniques for edible mushrooms, and methods for identifying poisonous varieties, prompting engaging discussions among the attendees.
The third part of the tour featured an introduction to Yuewei’s product line. Participants were invited to a conference room to taste a specially crafted Ganoderma lucidum tea that combined medlar, red Ganoderma lucidum, tangerine peel, and siraitia grosvenorii. While enjoying their tea, they received detailed insights from company leaders regarding the innovative products developed by Yuewei.
After a morning filled with exploration and education, the teachers were ready for lunch. The company graciously arranged a delightful mushroom feast, allowing everyone to savor a variety of dishes made from their cultivated products. The meal provided a perfect opportunity for the attendees to reflect on and share their insights and newfound knowledge from the day’s events.
This enriching experience was bolstered by the significant support of Director Zhang Yalan and her team at Guangdong Academy of Sciences Yuewei Edible Fungi Technology Co., Ltd., who expertly coordinated the event’s logistics, including transportation and reception.
