On October 18, 2024, students from Jinan University's Elite Class of Integrated Media conducted a research visit to the Panyu District Integrated Media Center. The visit was guided by their mentors and included participation from key figures such as He Yonghui, the chief editor of the media center.

The day began with a guided tour of the center, where students explored the Multi-functional Mobile Live Streaming Vehicle. This advanced vehicle is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including 4K high-definition capabilities, a traditional baseband switching system, and a resilient online streaming system featuring three backups. Students had the opportunity to enter the live streaming car in groups, engaging with the personnel who detailed the vehicle’s supporting facilities and practical applications.

Following this, the group moved on to visit various sections of the media center, including the studio, operation and maintenance center, and command and dispatch center. Here, they learned about the center's development history and its significant accomplishments. In the operations center, staff demonstrated innovative drone technology capable of detecting anomalies along pre-planned flight paths. This technology allows data to be sent to the cloud for immediate action by relevant government departments, sparking enthusiastic discussions among students and teachers about the potential applications of drone technology in integrated media.

The visit culminated in a discussion led by He Yonghui and other leaders, focusing on critical topics such as media talent cultivation and news production. This exchange provided a platform for students to share their insights and engage with industry professionals about the evolving landscape of media convergence.
