The 19th season of the Jinan University Innovation Competition came to a thrilling close with the finals held at the Shipai Campus on June 13th. Organized by the Academic Affairs Office of the Undergraduate School, the competition featured 10 innovative teams showcasing their projects across various sectors such as traditional humanities, modern healthcare, rural revitalization, science and technology, and livelihood improvement. Following rigorous stages of evaluation, two special prizes, three first prizes, and five second prizes were awarded, along with accolades like the Best Project Award and Most Popular Award.

One standout project, the earthworm+ traditional Chinese medicine planting and breeding model developed by the Team Jinlong, garnered significant attention for its innovative approach to assisting agriculture and rural revitalization. Through a comprehensive public welfare agricultural assistance plan, the team addressed market challenges and promoted sustainability in agribusiness, earning the Grand Prize, Best Project Award, and Most Popular Award.

Similarly, the design of an intelligent assistive robot, incorporating a steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) brain-computer interface (BCI) control system, aimed to enhance users' daily living experiences through remote interaction and assistance.
Another remarkable entry focused on revitalizing Huazhou's orange industry by addressing key industry pain points and fostering technological advancements and market connectivity.
Additionally, projects like the wearable flexible sensing system for human-machine interaction and the Lan • Huo initiative promoting olive carving heritage demonstrated the diverse range of innovation showcased at the competition. These projects not only highlighted the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of the students but also exemplified the university's commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among its student body.

The Winning in Innovation competition at Jinan University has served as a pivotal platform for student innovation and entrepreneurship, hosting numerous seasons and sessions that have engaged a wide pool of participants and projects.
