The 2024 graduation ceremony of Jinan University – University of Birmingham Joint Institute was a memorable event held on June 21st at the Zeng Xianzi Science Museum at Jinan University's Shipai Campus. The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Xing Feng, President of Jinan University, Marika Taylor, Vice President of the University of Birmingham, and Zhang Hong, Vice President of Jinan University, along with leaders from various departments and colleges.

During the ceremony, Xing Feng and Marika Taylor delivered inspiring speeches, commending the graduates for their academic achievements, innovative spirit, and contributions to society. The graduates were praised for their outstanding accomplishments, ranging from international competition victories to successful career placements and further education pursuits. Encouraging the graduates to uphold lofty aspirations, continue learning, and embrace diversity, the speakers emphasized the importance of cultivating a passion for personal and collective growth.

The ceremony also featured the degree awarding process, where Professor Jamie Alcock, Vice Dean of the College, announced the list of graduating students. Dressed in University of Birmingham bachelor's uniforms, the 2024 graduates walked across the stage as they were congratulated by Professor Marika Taylor.

Sun Caoyuan, representing the graduating class, delivered a heartfelt speech reflecting on their collective journey of challenges, growth, and dreams at Jinan University – University of Birmingham Joint Institute. She expressed gratitude to the college, faculty, parents, and friends for their unwavering support and guidance throughout their academic pursuits. The graduates, through their gifts of customized decorative iron paintings depicting the Jibo Academy Building, expressed their deep appreciation for their alma mater and the meaningful experiences shared during their time at the university.
