On May 23rd, the inaugural Guangdong Hong Kong Macao New Quality Productive Forces Forum took place at Jinan University. The event brought together over 400 attendees, including officials and experts from various government departments, industry leaders, renowned entrepreneurs, scientists, as well as faculty and students from the university. The forum aimed to foster collaboration and innovation between industry and technology within the Greater Bay Area, addressing the technological needs of key industries, promoting research and talent cultivation, and supporting the high-quality development of industries in the region.

During the event, Xing Feng, President of Jinan University, emphasized the pivotal role universities play in advancing new quality productive forces. He outlined the university's commitment to leveraging its disciplinary strengths, embracing innovation, and nurturing new quality productive forces through a comprehensive ecosystem of innovation. Xing Feng announced the school's plans to organize specialized seminars focused on New Quality Productive Forces in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, inviting government officials and industry leaders to share insights and strategies for driving innovation and development in the region.

The forum featured keynote speeches from Gong Jianwen, Zou Yongbing, Chen Ning, and Mai Yaohua, shedding light on various aspects of scientific and technological innovation, high-quality manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and technology transformation:

- Gong Jianwen highlighted the importance of scientific and technological innovation in accelerating the development of new productive forces in the province.

- Zou Yongbing discussed strategies for building a strong manufacturing province with high quality to foster New Quality Productive Forces.

- Chen Ning elaborated on the role of artificial intelligence in empowering New Quality Productive Forces across industries.

- Mai Yaohua shared insights on technology transformation for university professors, focusing on practical cases in the field of perovskite solar cells and photovoltaic materials.

Following the speeches, a roadshow showcasing achievement transformations took place, featuring presentations on innovative projects in the field of biomedicine:

- Lan Ping presented high-purity EPA Omega-3 preparation technology.

- Tang Yong shared the team's monoclonal antibody discovery platform (SCmab).

- Professor Zhang Hao introduced the team's saliva exosome cancer early screening and MRD monitoring product.

The event provided a platform for investment and financing enterprises to engage with these innovative projects, offering feedback on potential transformation paths, market opportunities, and collaboration prospects.

Overall, the forum at Jinan University served as a significant gathering for advancing collaboration, innovation, and the development of new quality productive forces in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
