The closing and commendation ceremony for the second and third phases of the New Teachers' Basic Teaching Skills Training Camp was held in the conference room of the administrative building on JNU's Shipai campus on Dec. 21. JNU Vice President Weng Jian said the training camp made remarkable results in improving the quality of education and teaching for new teachers, as well as promoting innovation in teaching. Weng encouraged all teaching units and new teachers to make full use of this platform to help the new teachers to strengthen their basic skills and continuously improving the quality of talent cultivation.

During the ceremony, honor certificates were awarded to 11 outstanding units and 12 exemplary collaborations in teaching development between teaching and research mentors and new teachers in the training camp’s second phase, as well as 10 outstanding units and 10 advanced collaborations in the third phase of the training camp.

The training camp is an activity platform created by JNU to serve, assist and promote the development of new teachers through a combination of learning, thinking and practical activities. It aims to help new teachers improve their professional ethics and teaching abilities, solidifying their teaching fundamentals and laying a solid foundation for continuous development. Since its launch in 2020, 259 new teachers have successfully completed the closing acceptance evaluation.
