JNU held the launching ceremony of the Campus Culture Season and a fluorescent night run on five campuses on Oct. 12 and 13.

The event was supported by Guangzhou Wanglaoji Health Industry Company Limited. More than 3,700 students participated.

Sun Yu, deputy secretary of the JNU Party Committee, said the century-old JNU had an excellent tradition of campus culture. He described the Campus Culture Season as an innovative attempt to integrate and optimize high-quality cultural activities on campus and encourage participation by more students.

After the launch, the university will host events including Chinese Culture Month, a Teachers and Students Cup badminton tournament, Overseas Chinese Students Cup sporting competitions, and a variety of cultural activities across its campuses and colleges.

Yan Haibin, the men's 4x100-meter relay champion in the Hangzhou Asian Games and a sports training major in the School of Physical Education, led the fluorescent night run, which he said many people could participate in, offering everyone the chance to experience the joy of sports.

Under the evening sky, the leaping crowd overflowed with color. The runners enthusiastically completed tasks at special checkpoints set up along the path.
