JNU held its degree-awarding ceremony for the classes of 2020, 2021, and 2022 on the Shipai campus on July 2. In attendance were JNU leaders, department heads and school heads, along with more than 3,700 graduates who returned to campus for the last class of their college years.
JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng read out the degree-awarding decisions. Afterward, school leaders and leading professors presented the graduates with diplomas, turned their tassels and had photos taken with them. After a shower of applause, Chen Jiayi and Chen Jiahuan, two undergraduate representatives of the Class of 2022 from Hong Kong, presented flowers to JNU President Song Xianzhong, also the chairman of JNU Academic Degree Evaluation Committee.

Returning to campus, Wang Chenran, a doctoral graduate in the College of Pharmacy's 2021 class, said with emotion, I was really excited and happy that it happened to be my supervisor to turn my tassel!
Phetmany Phommachanh in the School of Management's 2020 class, returned from Laos to attend the ceremony made up for the regret of not having a ceremony when she graduated, allowing her a second chance to meet her classmates, who seemed still young. She also wished JNU a better future.
