JNU and the Zhuhai Municipal People's Government signed a co-construction agreement and held a ceremony to inaugurate the Zhuhai Clinical Medical School of Jinan University on Aug. 25.

JNU President Song Xianzhong said the establishment of the Zhuhai Clinical Medical School was an important initiative to promote the high-quality development of clinical medicine. He said he hoped the two sides would work together to facilitate the school's discipline construction, clinical transformation and interdisciplinary integration to comprehensively enhance its core competitiveness.

On behalf of the Zhuhai Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Huang Zhihao, deputy secretary of the Zhuhai Municipal Party committee and mayor of Zhuhai, congratulated the two sides on the signing of the agreement and the inauguration of the medical school. He pointed out that the signing of this cooperation was both a further deepening of cooperation between the two sides and another starting point in jointly serving the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The Zhuhai Clinical Medical School of Jinan University (Zhuhai People's Hospital) is the only provincial-level regional medical center in Zhuhai, the first High-Level Hospital of Guangdong Province in Zhuhai, and a demonstration unit for the reform and high-quality development of public hospitals in the province.
