On the occasion of JNU's 65th anniversary of carrying out Marxist theoretical education, the School of Marxism has been approved as a social science popularization base in Guangdong.

An academic seminar was divided into an advanced forum and a dean's forum, with distinguished professors from the Ministry of Education's Yangtze River Scholars and renowned teachers from the national 10,000 Talents Plan speaking on the conference theme of Cultivating New People of the Era With the Party's Innovative Theory. The school also invited the deans of the schools of Marxism from 13 other universities in Guangdong to focus on the main theme of the New Generation Soul Casting Project” for exchange and discussion. More than 400 experts, scholars, and master's and doctoral students from the Guangdong Federation of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University and other institutions participated online or off.

To congratulate the School of Marxism on its approval as the Guangdong Provincial Social Science Popularization Base, its Alumni Association has donated an education fund to the school. The first president of the alumni association, Yang Jie, donated 300,000 yuan, and honorary presidents Chen Yuping and Luo Ding jointly donated 300,000 yuan. The college’s teaching practice team for the National Teaching Achievement Award, including professors Cheng Jingwu, Wei Chuanguang, Tian Ming, Chen Lianjun and Wu Yu, jointly donated 200,000, empowering the school to develop and continue on its new journey. Dean Cheng Jingwu said the school would continue to conduct in-depth research and launch more high-level research.
