The Guangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau held a promotional meeting on March 29 about the 2023 local standards for internal security work and unit internal security in Guangzhou. Among commendations to units and individuals who made outstanding achievements in 2022, JNU was awarded the title of Advanced Unit of Internal Security Work in Guangzhou in 2022, and Pang Huiliang, deputy director of the Security Committee Office, was named an Advanced Individual of Internal Security Work in Guangzhou in 2022.

In 2022, JNU made prominent contributions to the stability of the city's overall social security situation by fully committing to fighting epidemics; guarding against risks and maintaining safety; and carrying out the construction of a higher level of safe campus, which strongly and effectively maintained campus safety, harmony and stability.
