JNU held a conference on services to its retired staff members on March 27 to summarize the work situation in recent years and to arrange for the key work in the next phase.

Vice President Yao Min said JNU had taken practical measures on retirement work. They include guiding retirees to grasp the essence of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC); guiding them to firm ideals and convictions; enhancing the Party's organization in retired cadres and enriching the form and content of organizational activities; encouraging them to play a bigger role in the Party; and guaranteeing services for them to ensure that they enjoy their retirement.

   Xie Mingtian, director of the Service Office for Retired Staff, gave an overview and plan of retirement work. The College of Information Science and Technology/College of Cyber Security, the School of Art/Pearl River Film Academy and the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University shared their perceptions and experience of retirement work in their specialties, proposing innovative ideas and practical measures for services to retirees.
