JNU Vice President Ye Wencai visited Nanjing University, Southeast University and Soochow University with a special research group from March 14 to 16. Taking JNU's comprehensive implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan as the opportunity, their research, focused on high-quality development of teaching and research institutions, interdisciplinary cultivation and development, and management of multi-campus teaching. In addition, JNU learned from the three universities how to enhance its scientific and forward-looking disciplines construction and campus management. Vice Presidents Zhang Junfeng of Nanjing University, Zhong Wenqi of Southeast University and Shen Mingrong of Soochow University met with the group.

The special research was conducted mainly in the form of symposiums. JNU had in-depth exchanges with the three universities on the research topics, including resource sharing between colleges and research institutes; interdisciplinary talent training; collaborative innovation mechanism for scientific research; incentive mechanism for cross-research; allocation and recognition mechanism for cross-achievements; talent recruitment management mechanisms; and management of multi-campus teaching.

Ye noted that the three universities had a long history and great strength. Their rich experience in the construction of “double-first-class” universities was an important reference to the high-quality development of JNU, he said.
