JNU held the Guangdong Economics of Education Annual Conference on Dec. 11. With the theme New journey of the new era: construction of a quality economics major and personnel education, the conference discussed topics centering on the building of undergraduate programs and curriculum in economics, and the cultivation of talents. 

During the opening ceremony, which took place both online and offline, Jiang Lin, division chief of the Guangdong Department of Education's Higher Education Division, stressed the importance of strengthening education and building high-quality undergraduate education faster on the theme of economics discipline-building and talent-training reform; JNU President Song Xianzhong reported on the work of the Guangdong Teaching Steering Committee on Economics Majors and the hosting of the annual meeting. 

Ten invited experts spoke on topics including Thoughts on Training Quality Personnel in Economics Majors in the New Era, Thoughts on Building Digital Economics Disciplines and Cultivating Talents, and Analysis on the Influence of Digitization on the Knowledge Structure and Capacity Building of Economics Talents.
