JNU's leaders paid a group visit on Jan. 14 to students staying on JNU's main, Panyu and other campuses during the winter vacation. JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng, Vice President Zhang Ronghua and Party Deputy Secretary Sun Yu had lunch with the students to welcome the coming Lunar New Year.

Speaking on at the main campus, Lin said he was very happy to celebrate the Lunar New Year with students. He then sent New Year and winter vacation greetings to all teachers and students.

At the lunch, teachers and students shared steaming dumplings, tangyuan (glutinous rice balls) and other delicious dishes, regarding them as  New Year's flavor belonging to JNU. The school leaders gave the character 福 (fu) as a blessing and New Year's gifts to student representatives, demonstrating the atmosphere of Spring Festival and profound teacher-student friendship. The Party Committee's Student Work Department and Graduate Affairs Office of the CPC Jinan University Committee gave students gifts and meal vouchers.
