JNU's humanities and social sciences research base construction has recently received much recognition. Five think tanks from this research base have been selected for the Supplementary List of the China Think Tank Index (CTTI) Source Think Tank. The Guangdong Research Center for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era at Jinan University has been approved for further construction, and four social science popularization bases have also approved. To date, 17 think tanks at JNU have been listed in (CTTI) Source Think Tanks.

Moreover, the Academy of Overseas Chinese Studies at Jinan University was selected for the list of CTTI's top 100 universities think tanks in 2022. Building University Think Tanks to Contribute Jinan Wisdom, from the Research Base for Consolidating the Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation at Jinan University, was selected for the List of 2022 CTTI Think Tank Construction Best Cases. The paper Internet Poverty Alleviation From the Perspective of Building a Moderately Prosperous Society in All Aspects won the first prize in the 2022 CTTI Think Tank Achievements. 

Four JNU bases were on the 2022 supplementary list of the Guangdong Social Science Popularization Base released in October by the Guangdong Social Sciences Association: the bases for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture, JNU We Create, and Traditional Chinese Archery Education and Inheritance. They are included in the ranks of standardized base construction, enabling JNU to play an active role in the popularization and construction of social sciences.
