Zeng Heng, one of the first doctoral students in JNU's College of Chemistry and Materials Science, won the 2022 Chambroad Technology Award - the Chamboard Excellent Doctoral Thesis Award in Chemical Engineering and Materials. This is a new achievement for JNU in the cultivation of doctoral students.

During his doctoral study, Zeng, who graduated in June, was mainly engaged in the design and construction of metal organic framework materials and the research on their gas adsorption and separation. His research included the controllable synthesis of these materials and their crystal structure, and the properties of gas adsorption and separation. He was supervised by Profs. Li Dan and Lu Weigang. Zeng has published papers in Nature, Journal of the American Chemical Society and, Angewandte Chemie International Edition as first author. He has won the National Postgraduate Scholarship, the 2022 JNU Excellent Graduate Student and the Outstanding Innovation Awards of Graduate Innovation Forum. He has entered JNU's postdoctoral workstation and was selected for the 2022 Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Plan.

The Chambroad Technology Awards were initiated by Shandong Provincial Chambroad Holding Group Co., Ltd. to encourage and commend scientific and technological workers who have made outstanding contributions in the chemical and materials field.
