(Guangzhou Daily: Wan Jinmiao: With each venture, he grew)

After undergraduate study, honors should not be deemed treasures; applause should not become fetters, Wan Jinmiao wrote to himself. Live in the moment; dream big, aim high.

Several years ago, this young man from Hong Kong followed a senior entrepreneur's advice to study in mainland China. At JNU, he has been pursuing his goal of starting a business. In the future, he hopes to continue his startup in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, resolving to stick to his goal.

Wan Jinmiao, a member of JNU's 2018 class in business administration, is furthering his study in the School of Management to earn a master of science degree in technology economics and management. As a member of the Qingchuang 100 Project, an innovation and entrepreneurship leadership project for Guangdong college students, he is also the founder of Yunshi Technology Co., Ltd. At graduation in July, Wan was awarded the honorary title of JNU Graduate With Accomplishment and Contributions.

As an undergraduate at JNU, Wan became aware that the Hong Kong entrepreneur's words made perfect sense. JNU offers me a chance to connect with excellent youngsters from all over the world. he said, This not only greatly enriches my contacts with others, but also deepens my understanding of Chinese mainland's social and commercial environment.

In his freshman year, Wan organized a We-Media team with dozen students to film delicious-looking food. He hoped to create a food Intellectual Property of the Greater Bay Area.

The next year, he again organized a team, operating an official JNU Market account to sell spare goods.

In his junior year, he decided to develop a mini-program,JNU Circles, designed to make JNU students' live more convenient. In his senior year, he founded Yunshi Technology.

Later that year, Wan became a member of the Qingchuang 100 Project. He also actively participated in competitions both on and off campus during his undergraduate years. His honors include third prize in WeChat Mini-Program Development in the China Collegiate Computing Contest and first prize in the South China region, as well as an example-setter award in JNU's 10th Outstanding Student Award Program.
