The JNU Party Committee organized a conference on June 28 to celebrate the 101st anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) online and off. The conference was transmitted live to other venues. Over 400 people participated, including JNU leaders and representatives of China's various democratic parties, veteran Party members with “Glorious 50 Years in the Party,” grassroots Party organizers and representatives, and commended individuals.

Since October 2018, JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng said, JNU has achieved significant breakthroughs in five aspects: school space, Party-building, overall strength, deepening its features as a university for of overseas Chinese and scientific research.
President Song Xianzhong stressed that Party organizations at all levels should give full play to their exemplary role, accelerate the construction of double-first-class and high-level universities, and strive to promote JNU's leapfrog development.
The conference commended 21 outstanding student Party members of the 5th Loyalty, Credibility, Sincerity and Piety Class. Wang Tong, secretary of the Dual Leaders Teacher's Party Branch in biochemistry and molecular biology in the College of Life Science and Technology, and Zhang Chi, secretary of the Undergraduate Party Branch in the School of Journalism and Communication of the National University Party Building Work Model Branch, reported on the experience of Party-building. Kang Qingyue, a representative of outstanding student Party members, reported his exemplary deeds.
Before the conference, Peng Xuemei, chairman of the JNU Community-Level Committee of the Zhi Gong Party and chief physician of the JNU First Affiliated Hospital, read out a congratulatory letter signed by eight democratic parties to warmly celebrate the 101st anniversary of the CPC's founding.
