A team led by Ding Wei, a researcher in JNU's Institute of Photonics Technology, in cooperation with Prof. Lu Cuicui's team from Beijing Institute of Technology and Prof. Hu Xiaoyong’s team from Peking University, has reported a breakthrough in on-chip topological rainbow devices with the first observation of a significant topological rainbow effect on nanophotonic chips. It has published their findings in Nature Communications under the title of “On-chip nanophotonic topological rainbow”.

The first authors are Sun Yizhi, a JNU lecturer, Prof. Lu; Wang Chenyang, a JNU postgraduate student; Ding, Lu and Hu are the corresponding authors. This research was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key Research and Development Program, the Guangdong Basic and Applied Basic Research Foundation, and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities.
