JNU Prof. He Rongrong, vice dean of JNU's School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and deputy head of the TCM and Natural Drug Research Institute, was among the 18 individuals and 10 collectives honored with the 24th Guangdong Youth May 4 Medal, awarded by the China Communist Youth League Committee of Guangdong and the Guangdong Youth Federation. 

Prof. He presides over important projects in TCM, including national key research and development projects. She has obtained 16 authorized patents, published more than 100 academic papers in international high-level journals, and won the Guangdong Science and Technology Award and the Guangdong Ding Ying Science and Technology Award. 

JNU’s Youth League Committee of Management School was named Provincial May 4 Red Flag League Committee in the list of the May 4th Red Flag League Committee, May 4th Red Flag League Branch, Excellent League Members and 2021-2022 leaders in Guangdong. The Youth League branches of Journalism Class 2 of 2019 in the College of Journalism and Communication and the 2019 class in teaching Chinese as a second language in the College of Chinese Language and Culture were awarded the Provincial May 4 Red Flag League Branch.

Provincial Excellent League Members from JNU include Tan Zhi, a student in the 2020 class in ancient Chinese literature; Zhu Wenliang of the 2017 class in clinical medicine in Shenzhen; Lv Jinpeng of the 2019 business English class at Shenzhen Tourism College; and Chen Nan of the 2018 physics class in the College of Science and Engineering.

Zhang Shumin, secretary of Communist Youth League Committee of the College of Science and Engineering and the Youth League Branch of Teaching Staff, and Wen Jing, a JNU Youth League staff member, were named Provincial Excellent League Leaders.
