Han Huaizhi, who ranked first in his major, with the highest overall GPA, won a China National Scholarship and received a recommendation from JNU for postgraduate study at Tsinghua University. Always welcoming challenges, he had been a teaching assistant for two consecutive years; won the title Excellent Cadre of Freshman Training Camp; and received an Arawana Scholarship for undergraduate innovative talents. He is Han Huaizhi, a JNU 2022 graduate from the College of Journalism and Communication majoring in internet and new media.

With the help of time management apps, Han ensures one or two hours of concentration three times a day, morning noon and night, to enhance his efficiency in learning. He says taking breaks for physical exercise can improve his state of mind and ensure efficiency, while staying in the library too long makes him less focused and efficient, so he runs every night.

In the 2021 Challenge Cup, a competition in Guangdong undergraduate extracurricular academic science and technology activities, Han and his team won third prize. Despite some regrets, he said, the gains and growth were more unforgettable.

Not only a hard-working student, Han also plays an active part in extracurricular activities, including the Secretariat of JNU Student Union, the Public Relations Department of JNU's School of Journalism and Communication and the Administrative Department of Enrollment Publicity Association. In addition, he served as a teaching assistant for two years, helping freshmen become accustomed to life at JNU.

To Han, his most impressing experience as a teaching assistant experience was the 2019 freshmen training camp. “Being a teaching assistant endowed me a transfer of role and made me more responsible,” he said.
