Since the new Covid-19 outbreaks, universities in Guangzhou have launched mass nucleic acid testing according to the epidemic prevention and control requirements.
Wang Ming was on a volunteer team from JNU's College of Stomatology that went to Zhongshan city near Macao to support nucleic acid testing. The team began work as soon as assigned and trained, from early morning to 6 p.m.

On March 17, JNU started nucleic acid testing for 2,500 faculties and students in three hours.
At midnight on March 13, the WeChat group of South China University of Technology's epidemic prevention and control party team's received multiple messages seeking volunteers. Early the next morning, these volunteers started a busy day taking temperatures and checking documents and health codes.

Dongguan Polytechnic has coordinated teachers and students who are party or Youth League members to join routine activities such as disseminating information on Covid prevention, assisting unified disinfection and volunteering activity, presented by Yang Zekun, a Youth League staff member and the Young Volunteers Association’s adviser.

Since opening in February, Dongguan Polytechnic has organized 616 volunteers to assist full nucleic acid tests 10 times, serving 3,080 hours. Via campus radio and new media, the college developed thematic sections about pandemic prevention to provide first-hand information.
What I can do may not be great, but my passion for serving classmates also contributes to the fight against Covid-19, said Zhang Junhao, a student there.

In response to the pandemic, Dongguan University of Technology has asked students to stay home longer and initiated online teaching. At the same time, the university has conducted nucleic acid testing across the school to secure the safety of every student on campus.

Meanwhile, Shenzhen’s Covid situation has worsened since late February.
Since March 2, Zhan Minghui, a teacher in Shenzhen University's College of Music and Dance, and his students have headed to the Longtang community in Shenzhen for days to help the testing hub digitize test results.

On March 7, Shenzhen Polytechnic's School of Electronic and Communication Engineering sent Deng Jing, a guidance counselor, and 16 other teachers and students to the front lines for a week. Under the guidance of health workers, they went to the control area wearing protective clothing to conduct nucleic acid testing door to door.
