Jinan University held the fourth Fang Hua Medical Forum on Dec. 10. With the theme Connecting Basic Public Health and Clinical Practice, Combining Efforts to Promote Transformation, the 2021 forum strengthened academic exchanges between newly introduced high-caliber talents and veteran teachers. It also promoted cooperation and exchanges between clinicians and researchers in basic medicine, public health, biomedicine and other related disciplines to form a win-win model for research cooperation.
Leaders from JNU and its School of Medicine, as well as 17 speakers and more than 350 teachers and students in basic medicine, clinical medicine and public health, attended the forum.

JNU Vice President Rao Min expressed heartfelt congratulations on behalf of JNU and the JNU Labor Union and warmly welcomed the new talents, teachers and students who attended. She pointed out that the School of Medicine and the First Affiliated Hospital of JNU actively responded to the strategy on developing a quality workforce in the new era by bringing in, cultivating and using talents in all aspects, thus accelerating the construction of an important talent center and innovation hub.
Chen Jian, the School of Medicine's Party Committee secretary, pointed out that the forum was a platform for interdisciplinary and interdepartmental science and technology exchanges among the high-caliber talents in life sciences and medicine to better serve them. He said he hoped that the platform would promote scientific cooperation and the forum would be a greater success in the future.

The forum included a selection of nearly 50 outstanding postgraduate posters. After the preliminary selection and the presentation of nearly 30 posters by their authors, 10 postgraduates won Outstanding Poster awards.
