JNU, as the first completion unit, published research results under the title Synthetic Helical Dichroism for Six-Dimensional Optical Orbital Angular Momentum Multiplexing online in Nature Photonics (impact factor 38.77) on Oct. 14. The research was completed by a joint research team from JNU's Institute of Photonic Technology and College of Information Science and Technology. Ouyang Xu,the institute's first doctoral student, and Prof. Xu Yi are the co-first authors; Prof. Li Xiangping and Gu Min, academician of Shanghai University of Science and Technology, are the co-corresponding authors. Prof. Ou Baiou , Prof. Cao Yaoyu and other JNU collaborators have also contributed to this research, which uses light as a carrier to realize high-capacity information multiplexing technology. This advance is expected to provide new research ideas for the next generation of high-density optical storage technology.
