Two JNU Olympic champions, Chen Aisen and Xie Siyi, were interviewed in a program titled The Most Beautiful Youth in JNU's international conference hall on Oct. 19. Chen was the champion in the men's springboard 3-meter and men's synchronized diving 10-meter platform events at the Rio Olympics in 2016; Xie was the champion in the men's synchronized diving 3-meter springboard and the men's 3-meter springboard events at this summer's Tokyo Olympis. Chen and Xie, both postgraduates at JNU, discussed striving for their dreams with teachers, students, and alumni. After the interview, they met with JNU President Song Xianzong, who thanked them and encouraged them to keep working toward greater success.

Chen and Xie said diligence was an indispensable trait of the most beautiful type of youth. They also shared their Olympic anecdotes and their plans for the future. They encouraged students to master knowledge and skills by fully tapping JNU's resources and to cherish their time at JNU. In addition, they urged students to explore themselves, find their goals and stick to them, and keep a positive attitude.
