To ensure safe, smooth registration, JNU specially formulated a work plan for welcoming new students and applied digital systems to improve efficiency. In addition, JNU arranged free electric vehicles to take students to their dormitories, and organized volunteers to guide new students and help carry their luggage
JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng, President Song Xianzhong and other school leaders visited several campuses to inspect registration. They expressed care about the enrollment of new students, answered parents' questions on epidemic prevention and campus management, and expressed appreciation for all staff members and volunteers on site.
The university set up a health observation area at the orientation site, and medical staff members were stationed at the school gate, registration point and student community to do temperature checks, nucleic acid sampling, sample submission and emergency treatments for other conditions like heatstroke.
This year JNU specially arranged nucleic acid tests for freshmen. In addition to providing a negative result on nucleic acid report within 48 hours, each freshman needed to have another nucleic acid test at site before entering campus, forming a double safeguard for the school in epidemic prevention.
