The 2021 graduation ceremony of JNU's Sihai College was held on the Panyu campus on June 29. All teachers and students of thecollege participated in this special and significant ceremony in the form of online + offline, with live video.

The ceremony began with the national anthem. JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng congratulated 792 graduates from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and expressed his heartfelt thanks to the teachers and students for their hard work. He said Sihai College was an experimental environment for JNU to improveits education and reform the teaching mode for undergraduates, as well as explore ways to improve the quality of students' training. In addition, he said, it has made great contributions to the university's development and talent-training.

JNU Vice President Zhang Ronghua read out the commendation decision. Then representatives of outstanding classes, instructors, academic head teachers, monitors, student leaders and students took the stage to accept the awards.

Ou Xiangli, dean of the college, delivered a workreport on Sihai College in the 2020-21 academic year. Based on the mainlessons, she said, the college explored ideological education work on the practicallessons on Chinese traditional culture and patriotism. She added that the college had made 24outstanding collective achievements with the efforts of teachers and students this year.

Representing the graduating students, Lin Jiayin from Hong Kong reflected on her yearin the college and expressed her gratitude on behalf of all the new graduates for its work in nurturing students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

At the end of the ceremony,all teachers and students sang the JNU anthem online and off, stepping into a new stage.
