Zhao Zifeng, a Hong Kong youth in a white coat, is always in high spirits. At the critical time of COVID-19 in mainland China in 2020, he wore white coat and fought the epidemic as a doctor in the front line. This experience will make me proud for the rest of my life, he said. 

This post-90s young man, born and raised in Hong Kong, has been studying in JNU's School of Traditional Chinese Medicine for four years after graduation from high school.  Last year, fresh from campus, he became an intern working on the front line. 

Hong Kong’s third and fourth outbreaks have greatly concerned Zhao. I have been worried about my family in Hong Kong, he said, As a medical student, I encourage my family to take the vaccination, since I've learned about the vaccine, and it is safe enough, with rich clinical data.”

He also said he hoped to return to Hong Kong for further study after his internship to realize his dream of helping the world and saving others.

There's been a stereotype among people of my age in Hong Kong about the mainland and the Greater Bay Area because they don't know much about it, Zhao said. The Greater Bay Area has a lot of fun and delicious food, and the friends I met here are also very generous. I think young people in Hong Kong should come here to experience the atmosphere of the mainland.”
