JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng and members of his staff discussed epidemic prevention and control, talent cultivation, and higher education development with three of the university's board vice chairmen on Jan. 6. They were He Houhua, also vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; He Yicheng, chief executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region; and Cui Shian, its former chief executive.

On behalf of all the staff members and students, Lin extended new year's greetings and thanked the Macao SAR government and all sectors of society for the long-term care and support in JNU's development, especially the construction of Panyu Campus. Lin gave an update on the school's achievements over the last year in epidemic prevention and control, educational reform, and development as a high-level university and double first-class. He described the latest improvements on the Panyu campus, JNU's enrollment in Macao, and cooperation between the university and the region.
The vice charimen highly praised JNU's achievements in the last year, saying JNU was the alma mater of many Macao talents and the Macao SAR government would continue to support its development.

Macao has a long history with JNU. The three vice chairmen have always supported the running of the university and the cultivation of talents who love China and Macao. JNU currently has nearly 2,000 Macao students and more than 20,000 Macao alumni.
