The China International Distance and Continuing Education Conference 2020 was held in Beijing on Oct. 22 and 23. Chen Bin, secretary of the Party Committee of JNU's Education College, and four other JNU representatives were invited to attend.

Hosted by CEDU Media, the conference was jointly directed by the cooperative group of National College Modern Distance Education, the continuing education branch of the China Association of Higher Education, and the Chinese Educational Technology Association in Higher Education. The theme was The New Normal of Online Education: From 'Learning Revolution' to 'Quality Revolution'. More than 1,000 guests and representatives gathered in Beijing to share their online education experience, discuss new ways to improve the quality of online education, and explore new ideas for developing online education in the new era.

At this conference, JNU was named one of the most influential universities of 2020. Three research projects were honored and included in the 2020 China College Distance Learning and Continuing Education Excellent Case Base: Research and Practice on the '1+2+9' Continuing Education Talents Training Mode Based on Smart Education Environment; Research and Practice of Continuing Education Teaching Model in the Background of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and The Belt and Road Initiative With Innovative Management and Vigorous Energy for the Development of Continuing Education. In addition, the Macao teaching center of JNU's Education College was honored as an excellent continuing education correspondence college in 2020.

The Education College was singled out as an advanced unit of online and continuing education in the fight against Covid-19 for its quick respond to the demands of the Ministry of Education and the Guangdong Education Department and its outstanding performance, which won high praise from the community.
