Liu Jizhen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of JNU's Center for Power and Energy Research, led a delegation that visited Gree Electric Appliances Inc. on Feb. 18.
      

  
Warmly welcomed by Gree's senior leaders, the delegation first went to the company's science and technology exhibition hall to learn about its development and culture. It then visited the national laboratories, large machine set workshops and photovoltaic houses. Zhuang Pei, vice president of Gree Electric, presented the company's research and achievements in the development and application of intelligent energy technology in many fields, such as industrial and household applications.
Liu highly praised Gree’s intelligent energy-saving and emission reduction technology. As a Fortune Global 500 company, he said, Gree, which is near JNU, has made many technological breakthroughs in the energy field. He said JNU's high-level talent teams should strengthen cooperation with the company, building a platform for scientific research cooperation and jointly promoting industry-university-research collaboration in the energy field.

During the delegation's discussion with Gree's senior team, the two sides in-depth exchanges on the growing energy industry revolution, the development and application of the energy technology frontier, and future school-enterprise cooperation in research and development of energy technology and discipline construction.
