JNU student Chen Tong, majoring in public affairs management, proudly wore a blue-and-white cheongsam at her graduation ceremony in July, demonstrating that cheongsam is an element of classic traditional Chinese culture that she loves very much.
Last month, JNU officially opened its Chinese Cultural Experience and Exhibition Hall in the College of Chinese Language and Culture. Meanwhile, JNU is ahead of other universities in opening the small museum centered on Chinese culture. And the Chinese Hanfu Museum of the traditional costume of Han Chinese made a gorgeous debut.
Using overseas Chinese as a bridge, JNU has been committed to carrying forward fine traditional Chinese culture. To do so, it is now developing the Chinese Cultural Experience and Communication Center, gradually promoting the establishment of Chinese Cultural Exhibition Hall on its five campuses to showcase that culture.

JNU is committed to spreading excellent traditional Chinese culture around the world in many ways, among them promoting the culture-education project; establishing the center for Chinese cultural transmission and heritage; and organizing various academic cultural activities, such as its Lecture Hall on Chinese Culture, Lecture Hall on JNU’s Cultural Quality Education and Chinese Culture Tour.
Held eight times by the College of Chinese Language and Culture in four years, the Lecture Hall on Chinese Culture has become a JNU brand program. It involves 14 types of curriculum, 2,000 school hours, and 300 activities and competitions on Chinese culture. According to the preliminary statistics, more than 28,000 JNU students in 24 colleges from over 50 countries and regions have participated in many cultural experience activities and research projects, becoming  launching pads to spread Chinese culture to the world.
