The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the National Postdoctoral Management Commission have jointly released the list of newly established postdoctoral research centers. Three of JNU's first-level disciplines-- theoretical economics, cyberspace security and preclinical medicine-- received grants for postdoctoral research centers.

To date, JNU has 19 postdoctoral research centers encompassing eight disciplines, including literature, history and economics. These research centers may recruit postdoctoral researchers and provide important platforms to cultivate innovative talents in certain first-level disciplines of institutions of higher education and scientific research institutions.
Through this opportunity, JNU will put national management systems of postdoctoral work into practice. It will strengthen the construction of postdoctoral research stations, deepen reform of the postdoctoral system and promote the postdoctoral talent development strategy. In this way, postdoctoral researchers will gradually become an important source of faculty members and researchers for JNU, and an important force in building JNU as a “Double First-Class” (first-class universities and first-class disciplines) and high-level university.
