Jiang Lingxiang, an associate research fellow in JNU's College of Chemistry and Materials Science, has published an original research paper titled Single-crosslink microscopy in a biopolymer network dissects local elasticity from molecular fluctuations in Nature Communications (IF:12).
This research first proposed the concept of single-crosslink microscopy by using a fluorescence microscope to image and track the crosslinking points of polymer crosslinking networks, and by clarifying the relationship between network fluctuations and local elasticity at the single molecular scale. JNU is the first author' unit; Jiang is both first author and joint corresponding author, with Steve Granick of the United States National Academy of Sciences. The research, recommended by the journal's editorial office of the journal, is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong and JNU.
