JNU's Rural and Labor Party members participate in school clinic

With the support of Chairman Xie Guanghui and Vice Chairwoman Wang Shu, the General Branch of JNU'S Rural and Labor Party invited three medical professionals to attend the 2019 Guangdong Carrying Forward New Values of the Age campus activity on April 9 to popularize scientific knowledge.

They were Zeng Dongyu, a registered nurse from JNU's First Affiliated Hospital; Dr. Luo Weihua of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine; and Hong Weixi, a JNU postgraduate nursing student. The General Branch provided healthcare information and free medical consultation for students and faculty members at Jude West Road Primary School in Guangzhou's Haizhu District.

Medical staff members from the General Branch conducted physical examinations. Introducing the school community to common diseases afflicting primary-school pupils,  they urged the pupils to adopt a healthy lifestyle through such methods protecting their teeth. The workers passed out nearly 200 health education flyers on preventing diseases like dengue and norovirus.  

Organized by the Guangdong Popular Science Center as part of a series of activities to popularize science in the new era, the free clinic program aimed to inspire scientific spirit and spread related knowledge.
